Top Places to Stay in Nosara, Costa Rica

Nosara is one of the top beaches on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. With so much to do and see, the laid-back surf town of Nosara on the Nicoya peninsula has grown in popularity over the years, welcoming surfers, wellness enthusiasts, yoga practitioners, and thrill seekers of all ages.
The result? Plenty of exquisite hotels have emerged, making it easy for travelers to find accommodation that meets their needs. And honestly? Nosara is even a great place to visit in Costa Rica if you are with your kids.
There are tons of things to do in Nosara. It’s is the perfect beach to take surf lessons, see turtles during nesting season, or enjoy a yoga retreat. Make sure you have a 4×4 rental car if you plan to head to Nosara in the rainy season though! The beach is equidistant from Liberia International Airport and San Jose International Airport. There are domestic flights to Nosara airport as well.

Olas Verdes Hotel
Located south of the gorgeous Playa Guiones and right next to Ostional Nosara Wildlife Refuge, Olas Verdes is one of the best places to experience the best of Costa Rica. With beautifully decorated all-suite rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, an on-site restaurant, and easy access to the beach, this 4-star gem is a favorite of many families and couples who come to see nesting turtles at Ostional or who are just simply seeking serenity and comfort.

Harmony Hotel
Another hotel that’s set a walking distance from Playa Guiones is the Harmony, which welcomes hundreds of surfers and wellness seekers every year. Set in tropical gardens just three minutes from the Nomadic hotel, this property is fully in tune with nature, with hummingbirds, howler monkeys, iguanas, and other wildlife completing its charm.
Try some sunrise yoga before hitting the surf, relax your body and mind at the healing center, cool off at the chlorine-free pool, enjoy some organic fruits and veggies from the juice bar, and sample a few drinks at the cocktail bar before kicking back in your comfy bed and allowing the sound of the waves drift you to sleep. All rooms include ceiling fans, air conditioning, WiFi, king-size bed(s), a private patio, an outdoor shower, and a seating area.
Hotel Boutique Lagarta Lodge

But these little luxuries don’t end here. Back in the room, you’ll have a patio, balcony, and a seating area, where you can wind down and delight in the surrounding wildlife.
Nosara Beach Hotel
The gorgeous Nosara Beach Hotel sits between Playa Pelada and Playa Guiones, approximately a 4 minutes walk from each beach. Here, guests have an array of activities to indulge in including surfing, sportfishing, beachcombing, and horseback riding.
On days when you’re too exhausted to go out, you can relax by the large pool outside and soak in the sun and surrounding beauty. Later, head to La Tavern Restaurant or La Luna and dig into some of their delectable cuisines until you’re ready to return to your room which comes complete with air conditioning, a garden view, and a private bathroom.
