Anyone who has fed a 6 month old baby knows that, while super cute, it can get exasperating. Babies love to wiggle, fiddle, and otherwise explore the world while eating. It can be exasperating to get the baby to eat- and it can also be painful if you have long hair or earrings. Both of our girls loved to play with my hair and necklaces while they breastfed, and I needed a solution that was both practical and allowed me to share my personality. I had come across Chewbeads as a new mom, and fell in love with their products and their mission. I am proud, almost 5 years after purchasing my first Chewbeads product, to partner with them for an awesome Chewbeads Valentine’s Giveaway- a brand new Where’s the Pacifier? clip ($15 retail value). (Please note that I was provided a review of Chewbeads in exchange for this post, but all opinions are my own.) Here’s why we love Chewbeads:
Chewbeads are a great sensory tool for nursers who want something to play with, and double as a teether when they are done eating. The beads are made with 100% silicone, so I know that what they are putting in their mouth is safe. There is no BPA, PVC, Phthalates, Cadmium, or Lead and I love that they are easily cleaned with dish soap and water, and also dishwasher safe. The necklaces look super cute on too- although they are a bit heavy for my everyday jewelry needs. I prefer the teething bracelets for everyday- and I use them to remind me which side I just nursed on (especially in the fog of those early days!)
Chewbeads are beautiful
I have fallen head over heels with the Christopher Junior necklace that we got to try. I love bright colors, and my daughters love to wear matching necklaces. I also love how the necklaces have a breakaway clasp for added safety for both moms, babies, and kids. My 21 month old just tugs hers to get it off, and the clasp comes right undone. Check out how cute these are!
Chewbeads are for all ages
I didn’t realize that Chewbeads had such a diverse product line- they even have a multilingual travel bath set that is so cute it will definitely go in the next gift guide I create. They have a stroller toy (and a design-your-own option!) and the silicone links that babies are fascinated by. The Junior Beads are perfect for mom and big sister to wear matching necklaces when nursing their “babies.” I think it would be adorable to gift a matching mommy and me set to a new mom.
I started dunking the Chewbeads necklace in water and freezing it- it then became an even more effective teething tool because it was cold too! I don’t recommend wearing the frozen beads around your neck however- (bad joke, sorry.)
Chewbeads are available directly from their website, on Amazon Prime (affiliate), and also in stores across the country. Check out their handy store finder!
