Happy Shuttle Cancun Review

On our recent family trip to Mexico, we booked our stay at the Gran Palladium Resort and Spa near Tulum. Since the hotel did not provide transportation, we were looking for a safe and affordable option for the 90 minute ride from the Cancun Airport to the hotel. My husband found the Happy Shuttle website and we decided to contact them because they were a more affordable option than the transportation service that we took when we stayed at the Gran Caribe last year. We were super happy with the service- and here’s why! Please note that we were provided complimentary transportation in exchange for this review. All opinions are my own.

Happy Shuttle Reservation

It was super easy to reserve our private shuttle online before our trip. I just headed to the website and entered our flight and contact information and payment. I was then given a voucher to either print or have on my phone to present to the agent when I arrived at the airport. The website is easy to use, and has both private shuttle and group shuttle options, as well as excursions.

Arrival at Airport

When we arrived at the Cancun Airport, the information from Happy Shuttle mentioned that an agent would be waiting for us with our name on a placard. This was not the case, but it was not hard to find the Happy Shuttle agent at all. Once we left the airport we asked someone for the Happy Shuttle agent. Everyone outside the airport was friendly and helpful, and pointed us in the right direction. The agent had all of my information and our private shuttle picked us up within about 5 minutes. The driver even had ice cold water in the van for us to enjoy on our ride!

Happy Shuttle Fleet and Drivers

The Happy Shuttle vans are super comfortable and safe. Both of the vans we rode in seated 8 passengers in addition to the driver. The vans were extremely clean, and a lot of luggage could fit in the back of the van. There were seat belts for everyone, and the air conditioning worked great- car seats would fit perfectly in the van too. Our drivers were efficient, knew the route, and friendly. In the van on the way from the airport back to the hotel, we even had wireless internet- which was awesome because I was able to confirm our flight status and catch up on some email I had missed while we were at the hotel.

Pick Up From the Hotel

Our driver was right on time to pick us up from our hotel. The best part was that we weren’t picked up at an extraordinarily early time. I always hate it when a shuttle company is so worried about making sure we arrive at the airport on time that they pick us un extraordinarily early. We arrived at the airport right at two hours before our departure, which gave us plenty of time to get checked in and through security.

The Bottom Line

We loved using the Happy Shuttle Cancun for our transportation to and from our hotel, and would absolutely, without a doubt, no reservations recommend the service to anyone looking for safe, efficient and affordable transportation around the Riviera Maya in Mexico.
