This easy breakfast waffle bar idea is the perfect fun and simple way to celebrate Mickey Mouse’s 90th birthday- and includes a topping everyone will love!!

I can hardly believe that it’s been 90 years with Mickey Mouse, but it’s true! 2018 marks the birthday of everyone’s favorite mouse, created by the beloved Walt Disney in 1928.

2018 also marked the year that our family visited the most magical place on Earth for the first time. Yep- we did it! Disneyland with young children. We are now back home with two new Mickey Mouse fanatics who wanted to celebrate Mickey Mouse’s birthday in style- Eggo style that is!

I put together a fun and easy breakfast waffle bar to celebrate Mickey Mouse’s official birthday, which was November 18th. And the breakfast waffle bar was such a hit that we have basically been eating it most days for about two weeks now. Which is fun since Eggo waffles now have colors and flavors from natural sources.  Here’s how I did it!

Easy Breakfast Waffle Bar Ingredients

In a day and age when it seems like everyone has a food allergy, intolerance, or preference, I wanted to have lots of waffle bar options for every palate and dietary restriction. So I grabbed the Kellogg’s Eggo Mickey Homestyle Waffles, 16ct from the frozen breakfast section at Walmart, and then shopped for the rest of the toppings. You could also do Walmart Online Grocery Pickup too.

How To Set Up The Easy Breakfast Waffle Bar

All I did was toast the Kellogg’s Eggo Mickey Homestyle Waffles in the toaster and then put all of the toppings in fun serving cups. I put everything at a table that is kid height, and let my girls go to town with topping their own waffles. I even found some fun edible eyes at Walmart that we added in for fun.

Some of our favorite combinations were the raspberries with whipped cream and sprinkles, or the peanut butter and banana slices with chocolate syrup (my personal favorite), and “la bomba” where we just put every single topping on the waffle and tried to eat it (unsuccessfully, I might add.)

I think our favorite part was letting the girls use the whipped cream that shoots out from the can. It was super fun to add different touches to Mickey Mouse’s face and to hear the sound the can makes when you squirt out the whipped cream.

Plus, since the box of Kellogg’s Eggo Mickey Homestyle Waffles is a 16 count, there were enough waffles to make plenty of rounds of super fun and indulgent waffles and toppings.
