Disclosure- I love, love LOVE Chuck E. Cheese’s (almost as much as Casa Bonita!) and so when we were given the opportunity to partner with the restaurant on this post, I was more than thrilled. All opinions are my own.
Birthday Parties At Casa Pura Vida
Big Sister LOVES birthday parties. Every year since she turned one, we have had a huge bash at our house and invited everyone we love to celebrate another year. She adores picking out a theme, making the cakes, and of course shopping at the dollar store for the decorations (the Frozen party we had in January was a huge hit!). This year, when Little Sister didn’t want to have a birthday party, Big Sister was indignant for days. DAYS. It was actually a bit hilarious.
I, on the other hand, am like most parents. I love to have a birthday party because it makes my daughter happy- but the actual planning of the details of the party makes me a bit crazy. It’s a lot of work to plan and host a party- especially for the under 5 set. A lot.
So when Big Sister was asking for a half birthday party, I was excited to offer her the chance to test out a Chuck E. Cheese’s party. I’m always looking for a easy birthday party idea! I love Chuck E. Cheese’s because I love skeeball, and the kids love Chuck E. Cheese’s because, well, it’s Chuck E. Cheese’s. Not to mention that Chuck E. Cheese’s is the #1 birthday party destination in America!
How To Book a Chuck E. Cheese’s Birthday Party
I started by booking the party itself, which was super super easy. I just located the nearest Chuck E. Cheese’s on the map, and then went through the booking process online. I customized the games, guests, and food, and paid my deposit, all without having to talk to anyone. It was literally a one stop shop for birthday planning! I was thrilled.
What Does The Birthday Party Include?
I chose the Mega Birthday Pack for the party because it gave guests unlimited games for the entire two hours of the party. Each kid got a little card that scanned the games, and then could play as much as they wanted. Little Sister was cracking me up because for the first 30 minutes, she was only interested in scanning the game and hearing the beep- so she could be seen running around the game section of the restaurant scanning the card and abandoning the game. Hilarious.
When we arrived we had a dedicated host that was there to make sure our party ran smoothly. This was awesome, as I didn’t have to keep checking the time to see what we needed to be doing. The host let us know each step of the way- from when the food was ready, to when to sing happy birthday and even when we got to do the Ticket Blaster (more about that in a moment…). When we arrived our table was decorated with a welcome sign for the girls with their names (we just had a double half birthday party so no one would feel left out, haha), helium balloons, table settings for each child and prize packs.
We played for about an hour, and then had the signature delicious Chuck E. Cheese’s pizzas- and I was able to order salad for the adults which everyone appreciated. Then Chuck E. Cheese came out and we sang happy birthday- each girl got her own cake and candles to blow out. Can anyone say easy birthday party idea?
We finished off with the Ticket Blaster where the girls had a chance to win the Magic Ticket worth 500 tickets. which, not only adorable, rendered enough tickets for each girl to cash in for a light up crown at the ticket counter. Everyone went home happy that way- and we will definitely be back for another party! So much fun!
